This is the sequel of Resident Evil: Apocalypse. RE: Extinction was originaly called "Resident Evil: Afterlife" and it is also known as Resident Evil 3.

The film is directed by Russell Mulcahy and produced by Paul Anderson. The film stars are Milla Jovovich, Mike Epps, Sienna Guillory, Ashanti Douglas, Ali Larter, Chris Egan, and Oded Fehr. The details of production are still "Classifed" information. However, minor details have been revealed, "fans of the series will be pretty damn happy with a new boss monster that's going to rear its ugly head in the film"

Extinction will be released in the United States on September 7, 2007
